The Ministry and Mission Committee normally meets on the 1st Thursday of each month (except January and July) at the Presbyterian Church Offices, 168 Chalmers St, Surry Hills.
Business to be considered by the Committee must be with the Superintendent no later than the Friday before the meeting.
Jeff Read (Convener) Minister of the Chatswood congregation since 1999.
Matt Oates (Superintendent) Matt has served in the pastoral charges of Mudgee, Greenwich-North Sydney, and Epping before taking up the Superintendent’s role in July, 2018.
Darwin Agahari – After serving eleven years as the pastor of the Kingsway congregation, Darwin was inducted as the senior minister at Epping Presbyterian Church in January 2023
Sami Gerges – Formerly a minister serving at Merrylands East, primarily in the English congregation. Sami brings wisdom and experience, especially in working across cultures. He was appointed to the Committee in 2004.
Adrian Lamrock – An elder of the Wallsend congregation and former Principal of The Scots School Bathurst. Adrian has a strong interest in country ministry and the health of all our churches. Adrian was appointed to the Committee in 2022.
David King – An elder of the Cornerstone congregation, where he serves as session clerk and PA to the ministers. David is a powerful advocate for church planting. He joined the Committee in 2023
Michael Nhieu – Mikey planted the Chapel Hill congregation in 2014 and has most recently been serving as a minister at Epping. He was appointed to the Committee in 2023.
Ian Halbisch – Minister of the Shoalhaven (Nowra) congregation after serving in Wagga Wagga and Mudgee. Ian has a passion for church revitalisation. He became a member of the Committee in 2023.
Tristan Merkel – One of the ministers at Bathurst. Tristan joined the Committee in 2025.
Stephanie Wong – Has been involved in church planting alongside her husband, Simon, who is currently the minister at Cornerstone Concord. Steph is passionate about mentoring and joined the committee in 2020.
Ethan Zuo – An elder at Captivate Presbyterian Church, who is involved with membership ministry. Ethan joined the committee in 2020
Sylvia Siu – Sylvia is a Deaconess working part-time for the Women’s Ministry Committee with Anna Moss. She also serves alongside her husband, Sylvester, who is the minister of Woy Woy Presbyterian Church.
Susan Ravenhall – Over the last 20 years or so, Susan has served in Young and is now at Newcastle Central, where her husband Tim is the minister.
